Discover the rainbow nation
Often called the rainbow nation, South Africa owes this nickname to the diversity of its population and its landscapes. With 11 official languages and as many cultures, this country is rich in history.
As big as 2.5 times France, you can imagine the multitude of landscapes to discover. From the plains of Kruger Park, to the Franschhoek vineyards, passing through the Drakensberg mountains and the Cape beaches.
The seasons are the opposite of those in the northern hemisphere.
You will find 3 completely different climates, depending on the region: a Mediterranean climate in the Cape Town region, a subtropical climate along the coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal and in the northeast, and you’ll find a temperate climate on the high plains in the interior of the country.
South Africa can be visited year round. The south is less pleasant from June to September because it can be cold and wet but this is an ideal time to do a safari in the north where it will be dry. The wildlife will be gathering around the waterholes.
